Not a card or paper ....
Happy Spring & May Day!
My family has the tradition of making and distributing baskets of candy to the neighbors for May Day. While I'm not making the candy baskets this year, I offered to make Spring decorations for the neighborhood sign posts.
I found a great wooden cutout company, Woodpeckers Crafts, that delivered 20 flowers, 10 tulips & 10 daisies, within a few days. I used my existing outdoor acrylic paints, masking tape and wipees to quickly paint the flowers as colorful Tulips and Gerbera Daisies. I used a drill press to drill a hole in the tops of the flowers for a metal ring and covered the flowers with Outdoor Mod Podge to protect the wood and paint from the weather.
This was a lot of fun, didn't take too long and was a nice break from my normal handmade card crafts. My next painting project will be cutouts for the 4th of July.
Thanks for poppin' by!
The end product. Painted, shellacked and ready to hang.
