Cheerful Gingy Birthday

 Good evening!  I'm so glad you've visited.

    My younger sister and I have a common love of gingerbread girls and boys.  I have often commented to her how I wish you'd see them year-round representing more holidays and seasons.  With that though in mind immediately after the Christmas season, I decided to make my sister a non-Christmas gingerbread card.  I started with the Freshly Made Sketches design #FMS364 and went from there.  I chose the colors based on the SU! DSP Cherry On Top, concentrating on the red color since red is my sister's favorite color.  In addition to what you can see in the photo, the gingy girl's body swings from side to side, as if dancing, AND there's a confetti flinger inside!
    I had so much fun making this cheerful birthday card.  I hope you enjoyed it too.

St. Patrick's Day

Hello! Still creating at the last minute, I recently created family St Patrick's Day cards.  I used a previously saved pin by Shannon White posted on the Taylored Expressions site as inspiration and combined that with the   Freshly Made Sketches  # 366 design.  I think it turned out pretty good but not quite as "polished" as I like.  I guess they can't all be super winners. 😐 I had fun "shopping my stash" to create this.  I am trying super hard to not buy more crafting stuff until I use some of what I already have.  I tend to buy things and never take the time to use them.  There are just so many cute and neat things out there in the crafty world.  Eeeks! For the inside sentiment, I printed an Irish blessing onto cardstock and adhered it inside each card. May your mornings bring joy And your evenings bring peace. Pop-up Mice Birthday

Welcome back!  My granddaughter's 7th birthday is coming up so it's time to try another interactive card.  I decided to use my Lawn Fawn pop-up platform dies for the first time and some of their mouse stamps.  Last year I made her a card with mice so this continues that theme a little and the mice are so very super cute.  I love how so many of the Lawn Fawn mouse sets are the same size and you can mix-n-match them! CASE'd  Birthday Mouse Party  for the general scene idea.  For the mouse flying over on a paper airplane, I attached it to a tiny strip of acetate.  The platform itself was pretty easy to assemble but I could have done better getting the most use out of the cardstock. I think I got a bit over zealous with the mice and extras and made the card too busy but it's still cute! Thanks for poppin' by. Northwoods Summer Thank You's

  I needed a few Thank You cards on hand for our neighbors here in the Wisconsin Northwoods.  I've used this Thanks die with its shadow on a lot of cards now.  I really like the way it fits on an A2 card, whether landscape or portrait. I looked through my pattern paper and ephemera stash for summer and woodsy things.  These are what I came up with.  Some ephemera still needed to be colored and I'm loving those sunflowers from Gina K Designs!  I'll have to use those again.
